Within that same timeframe, Claire has instructed and mentored hundreds of students and designers. Claire is currently leading the design/research team at BlackLine, a financial operations management SaaS provider, to drive the modernization of the core product experience while developing and elevating design maturity and the role of design in the organization.
“Design Maturity” represents a level or degree of a role design holds at a company as defined by NN/g and InVision. Designers often find themselves working at a company where design is not valued and the work is just production, especially in tech-driven, enterprise companies, where people are dealing with legacy technology and older working model. How can we, design leaders, influence the org, process, and people, to level up design maturity so design plays a much more strategic role?
